Soft: A Diagnosis

Too available

My diagnosis
My judgment

And then
I saw him
looking trendy and sweet
ordering a burrito with guacamole and cheese.
There was no air conditioning
so we sweated it out
while we relaxed in each other’s company.
His hair looked soft
as did his hands.

And as it turned out
soft
is
what they were.

  2. I do not like the part about being too available, that must be a trap, a scam for womans of a certain kind,

    “Too available” is too soft?
    That’s hard to understand.
    Cougars like trendy
    in a young, handsome man.

    Avocado dips delight
until it gets a bit too ripe
Soft and mushy in the night
He took you home, thou shall not gripe

    As it were…

I’ve already told you I adore this poem. Because it’s soft, because it’s from you.

You do realize if you keep trending this way, we might have to rename this site. Ramblings of a Lady In Love. The Black Cloud of Tags might have to be come the Colorful Confetti of Tags. Do you even recognize yourself?

  7. Indeed? Love is in the air? hehehe Perhaps Bryan is correct, and that must be painful for you….I love soft tacos

  8. I love the innocence in the ending, as much as the cynical beginning.

    ♥Bunny.

  9. ieva: as it turns out, he’s had eye surgery. But black frames would have been hotttt.

mariana: he may be wanting a real relationship so he’s being available. Thanks for the warning.

Jessie: who knew quacamole could be so romantic?

Uncle: too available is uncomfortable when you have a robust history of going for unavailable guys.

poeticgrin: never you mind about the Lady in Love crap.

bunnylove: thank you for that. From cynical to innocent…who am I?

bindo: I am fond of soft tacos as well. They are soft and so they are comforting. And yes, love/feeling giddy is very painful for me. I have no doubt you can relate, my dear.
