Seriously, what has been up with my sporadic blogging. I’ve been writing but it doesn’t strike me as something I want to put on my blog. I’m working on a series of essays about different aspects of my family.
I have been going out with a much younger man, solidifying my cougar status. It’s been really fun, no pressure. And he’s tall. And I like his laugh.
I do have news. I’m a mother again. On Sunday, I adopted another dog, a beagle mix named Mindy IV who I’ve renamed Emmie (Val, your vote counted). I did adopt her in a manic phase and am now a little shell-shocked. She’s about a year old. I’m going to just say she’s one. She looks like a simple spotted dog mix with a beagle head attached. Beautiful eyes. Bryan loves her. I like her. I mean, she’s got so much energy and she seems alien and I can sense no emotion in her so I’m adjusting.

Give it time, girl. That dog will grow on you like fungus one catches from a lockerroom in a lesbian gym.

HUGS for calling her Emmie, it’s who she is, or to quote our cat sparkey, “it’s how she rolls maaan” lol HUGS for being a cougar and meeting a tall man who is good for you and who is fun and makes you have fun.

Bryan: thank you for that. You are very unbecoming to the lesbians, fyi. You treat them like second-rate gay citizens.
I will tell Emmie that her Aunt Val loves, loves, loves her. I am having fun as a cougar!!!! I had no idea it would be so much fun!

Aside from the fungus, I agree with Bryan. This puppy is a teenager !! And we all know how messed up a teen can be. This doggie needs another year under her, uh, spots, before she will know how she feels…
Just love her and be patient (duh, platitudes for your attitudes…)
And um… is UPS good for you? I think some trees are heading south very soon to bleed for all your sins. Kinda sounds like a religious thing, doesn’t it? And no – the painting is not about sin!!!
I know you’ll give When Trees Bleed as good a home as Emmie and Poppy.
And since I know Bryan reads all these – yes, I have yours ready to send, too…
