Happy Home

We’ve built a happy home
created the life we wanted
the bubble that won’t pop
the reality blissfully skewed to our liking

With adopted children from the midsection
cousins in far away places
uncles and aunts
and mothers and fathers from all those places we’ve never been

Our family
medicatedpoeticladygrin
writers, conspirators, sympathizers, antagonists all
welcome home
linger yet
don’t stay away too long

Reality is like a shish kebab.

there’s a hunger in the mirror.

  6. Adopted from the midsection? Hmmmm. Wouldn’t know who that’s about. (oh my god, do I have siblings?) 😛

Hehe. Another great poem, MedicatedLady. ♥

  7. You left out shit disturber and that completely disturbs me. Oh, would this be an example of shit disturbing? Why yes, it is! 😉 Just when I think you’ve shown us all your fancy schmancy baubles, you go and retrieve yet another jewel. Medicatedlady, Le Magnifique!

  8. Thanks to all. I wanted to give props to all of you for being part of this cozy community of writers and bloggers we have become.

In the 90s, Bryan and I would go into chatroom or create our own and we always drove the others away (Us–too much?). Now, we’ve tried blogging and my God, our dear readers are faithful. You are faithful.

All of you already presented here one way or another. Thanks for being part of the nuthouse.
