When I was young and wanted to avoid Sunday School…I would place my head near a radiator…moan…my mother as all mother would do would feel my head…acknowledge my probable fever and recommend that I stay home….this worked everytime….however when we moved…there were not radiators in the new home. ;-(

slpmartin…oh the golden days of radiators. I don’t think we have those in the south. My mother would say, “if you’re sick enough to stay home, you’re sick enough to go to the doctor.” She meant this to discourage sick days…but please, I was a closeted hypochondriac and was always delighted to go to the doctor.
Lack of sleep is a great way to be sick. Or just call in when you first wake up. I find that is effective.
